PTI Demand Resignation Of Shahid Khaqan AbbasiLahore: PTI Punjab president Ijaz Chaudhary said it has been a more than a week but still petrol shortage continues throughout the Punjab. He said people have had to face hardships due to utter misgovernance of the PMLN Government.

He said Pakistan State Oil has been flagging the looming crisis due to the sheer incompetence of Government.

He asked why did anybody not at the petroleum ministry, finance ministry or OGRA realize that the oil marketing companies were in breach of their licensing obligation to maintain at least 20 days of mandatory reserves.

He said if petroleum minister have any moral turpitude he should resign and accept his incompetence.

Secretary General Yasmin Rashid said the governments so far have all mismanaged the country so badly that people of Pakistan are suffering. In whole world petrol getting cheaper but in Pakistan there is shortage.

She said if PSO officials and MD could be suspended then why petroleum minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi could not.

Information secretary Andleeb Abbas said Karachi consumes 60% of the petrol then why there is no shortage in Karachi and why the CNG stations were opened in Lahore and why not in the rest of Punjab.

She said Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is owner of Air Blue. This is severe conflict of interest that a minister owns a private airline, which is growing day-by-day wile PIA is on the verge of bankruptcy.

She said Shahid Khaqan Abbasi uses all his influence and powers to make profits in Air Blue.

She said furnace oil reserves in the country are about to end while no one is ready to take any action. She urged the Government to take notice of that. She warned government of legal and political action if oil crisis not resolved.
