IGP introduces policy to eradicate corruption only from lower staff

Lahore: IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera has introduced a new clause in the annual confidential report to eradicate corruption among the low grade officers and to promote the officials of upto SI rank on merit.Under this clause all the low rank officers like ASI,SI ,TRW will have to submit their assets with their ACR,no official would be promoted to next grade who had not submitted his assets declaration,the IGP Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera made it clear in his written orders.

Every officer would be bound to submit his assets details every year till 31 January.25 officers assets details would be published in media to verify the facts by computerized belting,the officers would be expelled from the department who had provided false information.

CCPO,RPOs and DIGs offices would maintain these data in special computer room throughout the Punjab.

It is pertinent to mention here that there are number of senior officers in police department who have become multi millionaires by exercising their official powers to benefit their business partners.These business men also become their friends after having posting in their concerned district or area.

But these officers have no fear of law as neither any of their senior officer initiate action against them nor government mind their corruption in the largest interest of the “Public”.If only the assets sheet they have provided at the time of selection  is compared with their present assets,the reality would be cleared to everyone that how honest they are,a PSP officer commented on the situation.
