First round of Cholistan school teachers training completed

PEFLahore: The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has completed the first phase of training of school teachers of 75 Cholistan community schools in Bahawalpur division. The last round was completed at Khanpur in Rahim Yar Khan today. Lady teachers from the Cholistan community schools attended the two-day training.

According to a spokesman of the Punjab Education Foundation, this training was held in phases in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan Districts where community schools are working in the arid terrain of Cholistan.

During the trainings, the teachers were taught about improving their pedagogical skills. Each training was comprised of two days each, the spokesman added.

In the next round, subject based training in the subjects of English, Math and Science will be imparted to the teachers so that they could better teach these subjects. They will also be trained about lesson-planning and school-management so that the students could enjoy conducive atmosphere in the schools. This training program is initiated under Continuous Professional Development Program (CPDP) of the foundation, concluded the spokesman.
