Regularization letters to more than 100 contract employees distributed at LGH

LGHLahore: Advisor on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that Punjab government is utilizing all out resources for ensuring provision of health facilities to the people. He said that Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif considers the health and education sectors basis of national development and improving living standard of common man and is making sincere efforts for accomplishment of this mission. He said that every individual will have to work hard for the development and stability of the country and its institutions. Kh. Salman Rafiq said that Health Department has resolved problems of doctors and nurses to a great extend and all possible relief is being provided to paramedics and other employees.

He expressed these views while addressing a function of distribution of regularization letters to more than 100 contract employees at Neuro Auditorium of Lahore General Hospital, today. Employees of Board of Management have also been regularized. MS Dr. Junaid Mirza, administrative doctors and office-bearers of Paramedical Staff Association Yusaf Billa, Rahmat Sindhu, Rana Pervaiz, Arshad Butt, Khalid Gondal, Amin Salamat, Majeed Raj, Malik Hanif, Fazal Sindhu, Gulzar, Amanat Ali, Arshad Meo and other employees of the hospital were present on the occasion.

Principal PGMI & Amir-ud-Din Medical College Prof. Anjum Habib Vohra also addressed the function. Congratulating the employees, he said that hospital administration has decided to construct multi-storey flats for paramedic employees. He said that the steps of Chief Minister Punjab to regularize the contract employees has not only removed the threat of temporary service of the employees but also made their families free of worries of livelihood. He said that according to the orders of Chief Minister, Risk Allowance of Rs.1500 is also being given to Class-IV employees. Anjum Habib Vohra said that paramedics are the backbone of our medical system. He said that the expectations of the patients with regard to serving ailing humanity have further increased after regularization of the employees. He expressed the hope that the employees will discharge their duties with sense of responsibility.

Kh. Salman Rafique said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will be remembered as a benefactor of health sector in the history of the province as besides ensuring provision of maximum medical facilities to the people, he has made sincere efforts for the betterment of the workers and the doctors working in this sector. The employees after the function expressed their happiness and distributed sweets among the patients and their attendants.
