PML-N MNA Waseem Akhtar Sheikh’s father passed away

Lahore: PML-N MNA Waseem Akhtar Sheikh’s father Haji Muhammad Yasin has passed away.Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has condoled with MNA Waseem Akhtar Sheikh on his father’s death and prayed for the eternal peace for the departed soul.

Wasim Akhtar Sheikh started his political career in 1998 and elected as Councillor and then Chairman of Kasur Municipality. He elected as Member National Assembly (MNA) in 2008 from NA-139 Kasur-II on PML(N) Ticket. He was re-elected as MNA from the same constituency in 2013. His endeavour towards development in his constituency, fetched him historical 102750 votes and a lead of 75000 votes against approximately 35000 votes of his opponent Candidate of PPP.
He served as member in Standing Committees  of National Assembly for Textile, Environment and NAPRA during 2008-2013
