Ombudsperson punished 14 employees of agriculture department for harassing a lady worker

Lahore: A complaint case of harassment at workplace has been registered in the office of female ombudsman person Punjab by a female junior clerk of Agriculture Department Punjab.

The decision of the case was announced by female Ombudsman Person Punjab Pro. Dr. Mira Phailboos. All the 14 accused were awarded with major and minor penalties of early retirement and stop of annual increments according to the seriousness of offence.

The female ombudsman person was appointed under the protection against harassment of women at work places act 2010.

According to the details, Dr. Mira Phailboos were found all the 14 employees of agriculture department guilty of causing hostile and offensive work environment at workplace due to their sexually demeaning attitude.
