No compromise with oppression like Ch Zahoor Elahi : Ch Brothers

Photo CSH 01 {Sep25-14}Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former Prime Minister Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi have said that they would not compromise on oppression and injustice like Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed, Shahbaz Sharif has many faces and tongues like Rawana but real face was that of a murderer and oppressor which people have seen, blood of Model Town tragedy will not go waste, sit-ins created awareness among the masses for their rights and will be successful, our and Dr Tahirul Qadri’s 10 point plan was in accordance with the Constitution and law but we will not hesitate to amend the Constitution if needed for welfare and well-being of the people, we were rendering practical assistance to the flood-hit people while the rulers were doing “topi dramas” and photo sessions.

Both the leaders said this while addressing a big gathering on the occasion of death anniversary of Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed at Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed House in Gujrat today. Ch Zaheeruddin Khan, Mian Imran Masood, Hussain Elahi and Muhammad Elahi also addressed the gathering. Chairs provided fell short of the great demand of the very large gathering and hundreds of people listened to the speeches standing and kept raising enthusiastic slogans throughout the proceedings from time to time.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that we would go as much as required for the rights of the people, good results of the sit-in have started coming, people have started standing upright against oppression and excesses and no ruler could dare usurp the peoples’ rights. He said after martyrdom of his great father he had pledged not to be part of any oppression and high-handedness and with the blessings of Almighty Allah he was sticking to this pledge. He asked anyone from the gathering or from all over the country may raise hand to say that he had become part of any oppression and high-handedness. None raised hand in the gathering of thousands of people.

Ch Shujat Hussain said further that while we were paying glowing tributes to the meritorious services of Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed against oppression and excesses, circumstances were even worst than that era, unarmed citizens and those protesting against oppression were being hit by straight bullets, after sinking lakhs of people into flood mere lip service was being rendered rather than providing practical assistance.

Ch Parvez Elahi while mentioning ten faces and tongues of Shahbaz Sharif referred to his statements of solving electricity crisis in six months, dragging Asif Ali Zardari on roads, tendering resignation on being found responsible for Model Town tragedy, accepting all demands except one of the participants of the sit-in and leveling allegation against the army of hatching conspiracy and then backing out from all these statements said that they say that the sit-in has failed while world record was going to be created on Friday, sit-in has given courage to the people to stand upright against oppression of the rulers, now people raise slogans of “Go Nawaz Go” when traffic was blocked for the movement of Shahbaz Sharif and N-Leaguers do not mention their own party even out of fear of these slogans. He said this was the success of the sit-in, “Go Nawaz Go” slogan has become the voice of every heart.

Dilating on some length about no concession being provided practically in the flood-hit areas, Ch Parvez Elahi said that one photo showed Shahbaz Sharif offering consolation to an elderly person by putting his hands on his body whereas “thapki” was taken by bowing before the elders, had the rulers been sincere then assistance should have been provided to farmers by making assessment of the crops losses and agricultural tax and loans and other govt dues would have been remitted.

He said further that he was seeing love and affection for Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed in the eyes of the people present, our relations with you would go on for generations onwards, ” we have great respect and honour for you in our heart, you remained steadfast like in the past against every oppression and high-handed in the present movement also on which I salute you all”. He said that the rulers had increased problems and difficulties of the people instead of doing something for their betterment on which people were greatly annoyed and angry and he feared that the people may not start writing slogan “Go Nawaz Go” even on sacrificial animals and offer their ritual of sacrifice.

Ch Shifaat Hussain’s son Muhammad Elahi said that people had from all over in such large number to pay homage and pray for his grand-father and he promised that even their new generation would also continue to serve them always and try to be every assistance to them.
