PEF devised a plan to celebrate the Independence Day

Lahore: The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has devised a comprehensive plan to celebrate the Independence Day with full zeal and fervor.

According to PEF spokesman, the Independence Day celebrations will continue whole month till August 31. All PEF partner schools will remain open on August 14 and different co curricular functions will be held relating to Independence Day.

Similarly, national flag will be hoisted on all PEF offices and partner schools throughout the month. PEF employees will wear national flag badges.

Debating and declamation competitions highlighting the importance of Independence Day will be held in PEF partner schools. The partner schools will also hold sports events, the spokesman added.

The purpose of this festive activity is to sensitize the students’ community about importance of Pakistan so that they could fully understand the rationale of the creation of a separate homeland in 1947, concluded the spokesman.
