Air Chief awards cash prize to Tayyab Aslam for winning Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship

Awardind Cash PrizeLahore: Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, who is also the President Pakistan Squash Federation awarded cash prize to Pakistan Squash player Tayyab Aslam for his victory in recently concluded  21st Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship 2014 held at Iran.

Pakistan Squash contingent comprising Tayyab Aslam, M Asim Khan, Israr Ahmed and Darosham Khan along with coach Gogi Allauddin participated in the Championship. In the Under-19 Final, Tayyab Aslam defeated Kush Kumar from India and won Gold Medal, whereas Israr Ahmad and Asim Khan lost in semi finals and quarter finals respectively. In U-15 category, Darosham Khan played quarter finals.

The President PSF appreciated the performance of Tayyab Aslam and other young players for bringing laurels to the country. He also lauded the efforts of Pakistan Squash Federation’s coaching staff for giving proper training and guidance to the Pakistani squad. The President PSF reiterated that PSF would continue sponsoring top squash players for improving their world rankings.
