Turks to help Pakistan in uprooting the terrorism:Col. R. Shuja Khanzada

Minister for Anti Terrorist & EnvironmentalLahore: Provincial Minister for Anti-Terrorism Punjab, Col. R. Shuja Khanzada has said that Turk Interior Minister Afkan Ali has appreciated the efforts made by Punjab Government in introducing police reforms and setting up of Command and Control Centre and offered full cooperation in capacity building of law enforcement institution of Pakistan.

He said this while talking to journalists in his office, after returning from his Turkey visit. The Provincial Minister said that during his meeting with Turk Home Minister at Ankara, he apprised the Turk Home Minister of the effective legislation for fighting away terrorism and sectarianism.

“Punjab Government has set up a special Anti-Terrorism Force and federal government has set up a new constitution under the name of National Counter Terrorism Authority, whereas, other provinces are also taking similar steps with the consultancy of federal government”, Shuja Khanzada added.

Provincial Minister told that Turk Interior Minister said that both brother Islamic countries are facing similar challenges and Turkey would be pleased to share its experiences with Pakistan and join hands in uprooting the menace of terrorism.

Shuja Khanzada told the journalists that Turk Home Minister has offered full cooperation in providing a capacity building training and technical expertise to the law enforcing institutions of Pakistan.
