Thalesemia Test is essential for every human being: Dr Yasmin Rashid

Lahore: General Secretary Thalesemia Society of Pakistan Dr. Yasmin Rashid along with other office bearers participated to lit candles to express solidarity with the thalesemia patients at Liberty Lahore.

A large number of children along with their Parents lit the candles. The Society members also distributed pamphlets among the people for awareness for thalesima.

Talking to the media Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that Thalesima Society of Pakistan was established in 1994 and is working since than to stop this disease. She said that Thalesemia Test is essential for every human being for every person so that the new born baby should not contain the disease. She said that among every 100 people 7 of them are victims of thalesemia. She also said that Pakistan society of Thalesima is taking care of more than 1800 patients admitted in Sir Ganga Ram hospital.

She said that Thalesemia Society of Pakistan will hold a press conference on 8^th May on International Day of Thalesemia. Dr. Ayesha, Hussain jaffery, Adnan Jamil, Munim Khan, Imran Sikander and other people were also present.
