Quality education will be provided to the girls:Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that a state-of-the-art school has been constructed in district Muzaffargarh of South Punjab with the cooperation of brotherly Islamic country Turkey. He said that quality education will be provided to the girls of Muzaffargarh and adjoining districts in the school free of cost.

He said this while presiding over a high level meeting here today. The meeting discussed matters relating to the school constructed at Muzaffargarh with the cooperation of Turkey. MPA Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, Secretary Schools Education, Commissioner DG Khan Division, DCO Muzaffargarh, educationist Dr. Zafar Iqbal Qureshi and concerned officials attended the meeting.

The Chief Minister said that the children of poor and less-privileged families have as much right over quality education as the children of elite. He said that Punjab government is providing this right by setting up quality educational institutions like Daanish schools in far-flung and backward areas of the province.

The Chief Minister while giving approval to naming the school as Amina Erdogan Daanish School said that historical, religious and cultural relations exist between Pakistan and Turkey. He said that this school is an excellent gift for the people of Muzaffargarh and a glorious example of Pak-Turk friendship. He said that modern educational facilities have been provided in the school.

Shahbaz Sharif said that education will be provided to the girls through smart boards and digital lab will also be set up in the school.  He said that Amina Erdogan Daanish School spread over forty-five kanals will prove to be the best school of Punjab. He said that indoor and outdoor sports facilities will also be provided to the girls in the school.

The Chief Minister said that promotion of education is vital for overcoming problems of poverty, unemployment, eliminating trend of extremism and achieving the goal of development and prosperity of the country.  He said that only those nations have progressed which have spent their maximum resources on promotion of education. He said that Punjab government, in view of importance of education, has taken revolutionary steps for the promotion of education all over the province.

Shahbaz Sharif said that Daanish School System is playing an effective role in equipping the poor male and female children with education. He said that besides education, free boarding and lodging facilities are also being provided in Daanish Schools set up in backward areas.  He said that Daanish schools are the best source of spending resources on the nation.

The Chief Minister said that provision of resources for equipping the young generation with education is a useful investment for bright future of the nation and government will continue to provide resources for promotion of education. He said that this modern school constructed in Muzaffargarh with the cooperation of Turkey will play an important role in provision of education to the girls of the area. He said that hostel facilities have also been provided in the school.

Shahbaz Sharif directed DCO Muzaffargarh to pay special attention to tree plantation and landscaping in Amina Erdogan Daanish School so that daughters of the nation could get education in best environment.
