Lahore: In order to harmonize the training system of the Punjab police with the modern techniques as many as 30 EX-SSG personnel of Pakistan Army as instructors in Elite Police Training School, Bedian will be recruited on contract basis for five years.
This was decided in a high level meeting chaired by Inspector General of Police Punjab, Khan Baig held at Central Police Office Lahore. DIG Establishment, Amjad Javaid Saleemi, DIG Elite Police Force and other senior officers of training department attended the meeting.
The procedure of the recruitment will be properly advertised in national dailies. Among these, 3 retired Naib Subaidar as Sub-Inspector, 15 Hawaldar / Lance Hawaldar as ASI, 6 Naik as Head Constables and 6 lance naik / Sipahi as Constable will be recruited.
These instructors can get their salary and allowances up to upper limit scale. These posts will be non-pensionable, whereas, the medical and leave facilities will be according to the Punjab government’s rules and regulations.
Meanwhile, DIG Establishment, Amjad Javaid Saleemi has disclosed that the interviews for the successful candidates who secured more than 50 percent marks under NTS tests for the posts of constables / lady constables will be held on 5, 6, 7 May, 2014 in 14 districts of the province. Interview committees will be comprising of a DIG, DPO and SP, he added.
