SAP to provide best quality seed for the cultivation of next wheat crop:Bilal Yaseen

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yaseen has directed Seed Association of Pakistan to provide best quality seed for the cultivation of next wheat crop.

He said this while talking to a delegation of Seed Association of Pakistan comprising Secretary General Col. (Retd) Tahir Majeed, Senior Members Syed Hassan Raza and Ch. Bilal Ahmed which met him in his office, here today.

Provincial Minister said that government will remove all hurdles in the way of seed production for achieving best wheat crop and provide all possible cooperation to Seed Association. However, it is also the duty of Seed Association of Pakistan to work diligently for preparing quality seed, he added.

Bilal Yaseen also asked the senior officials of Seed Association of Pakistan to submit the lists of authorized persons for the purchase of wheat for preparing wheat seed to the Food Department so that they should not face any difficulty in procuring wheat for the preparation of seed. He asked that Seed Association of Pakistan should use the purchased wheat only for preparing seed.

Members of the delegation of Seed Corporation thanked the Minister and expressed complete confidence in the assurance of cooperation of Punjab government in preparing seed for wheat like before and said that they will spare no effort in preparing quality seed.
