Lahore: Chung Police have arrested two policemen of Khanewal Police after escaping a handcuffed rape accused from Police custody.
Chung police have registered the case on the complaint of SHO Sarai Sidhu Najaf Abbas who said that they had arrested Kashif alias Dholi for rape with a girl.He was being sent for medical and forensic test to Lahore under the custody of ASI Shokat and ASI Haq Nawaz,when the police team reached at Thokar Niaz Baig, the accused managed to escape.
The matter was brought into the notice of the DPO Khanewal Rana Ayyaz Saleem who ordered for FIR against the policemen on duty.The SHO showed hope that they would soon arrest the fugitive.
