Saints have given the lesson of love to humanity:Manika

Lahore: Punjab Minister for Auqaf & Religious Affairs Atta Muhammad Manika said that saints have given the lesson of love to humanity, tolerance and co-existence in every age. He said that it is a good omen that intellectuals gave new style to Punjabi language. He said that Punjabi is a rich language and Punjabi poets are conveying their sentiments to the readers through poetry.

He said this while addressing the book launching ceremony of Tahira Munir Basra “Aa Waikh Tamasha Dunya Da” as a chief guest at Punjab Institute of Art and Culture, here today. Director Punjab Institute of Art and Culture Dr. Sughra Sadaf, Nasreen Anjum Bhatti, Yousuf Punjabi, Qaisar Iqbal and the people attended the function in large numbers.

Provincial Minister said that Muslim saints conveyed their message of love to humanity through poetry. He said that book of Tahira Munir Basra is a beautiful addition in Punjabi literature and the writer has narrated the incidents and the present situation through her poetry. He said that government is promoting the regional languages in the province through Punjab Institute of Art and Culture. He said that Punjabi and other regional languages have given a new shape to our regional culture.

Atta Muhammad Manika said that the poets are serving the people through their poetry. He said that our culture and regional languages are our precious asset, therefore, media should promote our cultural heritage.
