Lahore: Provincial Minister for Zakat and Ushr Malik Nadeem Kamran has said that reservations and proposals of Members National and Provincial Assembly of concerned areas will be considered for granting status of district to Kabirwala and a decision will be taken with their mutual consultation.
He was addressing a meeting as convener for granting status of tehsil to Abdul Hakim and district to Kabirwala at Committee Room of Punjab Assembly. MNA Raza Hayat Hiraj, MPAs Nishat Khan Daha, Hussain Jahanian Gardezi, Ch. Fazal-ur-Rehman, former MPA Irfan Ahmad Khan Daha, Senior Member Board of Revenue, Member Planning & Development, Additional Secretary Local Government, Commissioner Multan, members of committee comprising DCO Khanewal and concerned officers were also present on the occasion.
Members of the committee considered the proposals of MNA Muhammad Raza Hayat Hiraj regarding granting the status of tehsil to Abdul Hakim and district to Kabirwala.
The committee also considered in detail all aspects of political, social, economic and administrative matters with regard to giving status of district to Kabirwala.
Malik Nadeem Kamran said that Kabirwala after getting the status of district will make rapid development. He stressed upon the members of the committee to give separate proposals in this regard but this fact should be kept in view that the delimitations of the Members National and Provincial Assembly of the area should not affect.
The meeting decided that the proposals submitted by the members of the committee would be considered in the next meeting. The meeting decided that the Finance Secretary should be called for in the next meeting so that he could brief the members of the committee with regard to financial matters for giving the status of district to Kabirwala.
