Pakistan qualifies in Kabaddi World Cup Semi-Final

Lahore: : Pakistan Women’s Kabaddi Team marked the history and qualified for semi-finals of 4th World Cup Kabaddi after thrashing Mexico in their last game at Mansaa on Tuesday.

Pakistani players scored 49 points while their weaker opponents scored just 24 points. Pakistani players competed with opponents in professional manner and gripped the opponent team from the beginning of the game which continued till the end.

Pakistan team captain Madiha Lateef, Neelam Riaz, Syeda Khanum Shah, Sameera Riaz and Sadia demonstrated excellent performance against Mexico. Pakistan will face host team India in semi-finals on 11th Dec in Bhatinda. I am proud of my team as they qualified for semi-finals in their first appearance in World Cup Kabaddi, captain Madiha Lateef said to media.

The match against traditional rivals India and Pakistan will be worth watching. Players are anxious to defeat India on their motherland, she added.

Pakistan men’s kabaddi team will also play its semi-final against USA today where national team is hot favourite.
