Turkish Ambassador calls on CM Punjab

Lahore: Ambassador of Turkey Sadik Babur Girgin met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, here today. Matters of mutual interest and promotion of bilateral relations were discussed in the meeting.

Talking to Turkish Ambassador the Chief Minister said that Pakistan and Turkey are bound together in strong historical and friendly relations and the friendship between the two countries is based on mutual love and brotherhood. He said that several Turkish companies have made investment in various sectors in Punjab and the volume of investment is gradually increasing. He said that metro bus project is a glorious example of Pak-Turk friendship and more than one and a half lakhs people travel by metro buses daily. He said that government wants to further extend the scope of metro bus project so that maximum people could avail comfortable, economic and speedy transport facilities. He said that friendship between Pakistan and Turkey is changing into useful economic relations. He said that Turkey has helped Pakistan in every hour of trial. He said that the visit of Turk Prime Minister Rajib Tayyip Erdogan to Pakistan will further strengthen the ties between the two countries.

Turkish Ambassador Sadik Babur Girgin said that Turkey attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan and is working on various projects in Pakistan for promoting mutual cooperation in different sectors. He said that Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has set an example by speedy completion of various projects for the welfare of the masses. He said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif is serving the people with commitment and determination. He said that the ties between Pakistan and Turkey are strengthening with the passage of time and the visit of Turk Prime Minister to Pakistan will play an important role in cementing bilateral relations between the two countries.
