Motorcyclists would not be allowed on National Highways without helmet

Mirza Shakil Ahmad DeputyInspector General Motorway Police, Central Zone  Lahore: NH&MP, N-Central Zone has observed enforcement campaign against the various violations of motorcyclists besides their briefing and education especially focusing the compulsory use of ‘Safety Helmet. Motorcyclists would not be allowed on National Highways road without helmet and strict enforcement will be initiated from December 1st said Mirza Shakil Ahmad Deputy Inspector  General Motorway Police, Central Zone   while a surprise visits of Central Zone. SSP Mirza Faran Baig was also present on the occasion.

 DIG instructed SSPs, DSPs and operational staff not to allow any motorcycle without helmet on the road. Mirza Shakil Ahmad asked all the officers to brief and create awareness among the people about the use of helmet till November 30.

DIG Mirza Shakil Ahmad has instructed the patrol officers to carry on briefing and enforcement of motorcyclists as a permanent feature of their duty as they are the most careless among all types of road users and most vulnerable to any serious accident.
