Molana Fazal ur Rehman assures cooperation to Shahbaz

Lahore: Head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam(F) Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Model Town today. The tragic incident at Rawalpindi was discussed in detail during the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the sad incident at Rawalpindi is highly deplorable and must be condemned in the strongest terms. He said that the elements involved in the tragedy would not be able to escape punishment.

He said that Punjab government has formed a judicial commission to hold an inquiry into the incident. He said that there is a need to maintain unity to foil the evil designs of the enemy. He said that the elements involved in Rawalpindi tragedy are enemy of Pakistan as well as Islam. He made an appeal to Ulema to promote the sentiments of unity and brotherhood among the people.

Shahbaz Sharif appreciated the role played by Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman for defusing tension in the wake of Rawalpindi tragedy. Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman said that the sad incident at Rawalpindi was a conspiracy to promote bad blood among the Muslims. He said that people should maintain unity and harmony in their ranks.
