CCPO suspends two officers for keeping citizens in illegal custody

Lahore: CCPO Lahore Ch Muhammad Shafique Gujjar has suspended incharge investigation inspector Ibrahim and sub inspector  Sanaullah for keeping two citizens in illegal custody and also ordered to register a case against them.Shahdara Police have lodged a FIR against both police officers and arrested SI Sanaullah wheres raids were being conducted for the arrest of inspector Ibrahim.

According to the police sources, CCPO was being informed that Shahdara Police have locked two men at their private torture cell without any justification, on this information Ch Shafique Ahmad asked the DIG investigation Zulfiqar Hameed to conduct inquiry and report within 24 hours.

DIG Zulfiqar Hameed today reported after inquiry that police kept Muhammad Shan and Ashraf unlawfully.Si Sanaullah has the version that both Shan and Ashraf was involved in a kidnapping case and their formal arrest was not lodged due to inquiry process.
