PTI urges trial of Musharraf and his companions

Lahore: PTI Provincial President Punjab Ejaz Ch, PTI Gen. Sec. Punjab Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Sec. Information Punjab Andleeb Abbas held a meeting on the government’s late action on article-6 against general Musharraf and said that the a complete prosecution of this case should be held so that becomes lesson for all the future govt. trying to take the law in their hand. Ejaz Ch stated that the Gen. Musharaf had violated the constitution and thus under article 6 the Supreme Court must investigate all damage that has been done to the constitution should be reviewed which strict scrutiny and deserving penalties should be given on every aspect that has become violated. He said that the chief justice should ensure that not only General Musharraf but all other officers and personnel’s who were directly or in directly part of this violation should also be brought to the court and penalized for being part of this constitutional violation. He also demanded that the govt. take an action on the Asghar Khan case and all officers involved in illegal activities who have also admitted to their crimes should also be brought to the court and penalized.

Dr. Yasmin mentioned that this because people who commit crimes are not apprehended and penalized that the present state of lawlessness and unrest exists in the country. She demanded that true facts about the Rawalpindi killings be brought to the public and the culprits be punished as soon as possible. She said that it is because justice is not done at the right time to the people who take law in their hands that the country had become a free ground for criminals. She urged the govt. to take full action on General Musharraf so that a strong message goes down to people violating the law that your position and rank cannot protect you from hands of justice.
