Lahore police claim excellent results during the Month of October

Lahore police claimed excellent performance during the Month of  October 2013, by arresting 80 accused of 31 gangs here in, Lahore and 76 cases have also been traced against them while more than 2.2 millions recovered from the gangs members and in others cases, 1305  POs & CAs also arrested in the same period.

According to details, DIG Operations Rana Abdul Jabbar directed Lahore police, to utilize their full energies to curb the crime in the city and to arrest the criminals involved in different unlawful activities. On these directions all divisional police increased their efforts against criminals and showed excellent results during the month of October 2013 by arresting 80 criminals of 31 gangs who were involved in different heinous crimes, 790 POs, 515 CAs included A&B categories were also arrested.

During the October 327 cases registered against 328 accused on having illicit weapon and police also recovered 1-Kalashankoves, 23 guns, 280 revolvers & pistol’s, 8 daggers and 1619 bullets from their possession. During the action against drug dealers, 465 cases were registered and 960 culprits were arrested and 13kg 888grm heroine, 93kg 467grm hashish, 5kg Marijuana and 5780 bottles of liquor recovered from them.

Moreover, 123 cases were registered against gamblers and 592 accused arrested and also recovered betting amount more than 3-lacs. In the same period during the special crackdown 497 cases were registered against 702 culprits on the violation of law.
