ECP to make sure transparent local body elections.

Lahore:  PTI Provincial President Punjab Ejaz Ahmed Ch and Gen. Secretary PTI Punjab Dr. Yasmin Rashid said that Local body elections can be only postponed 4 to 6 weeks in order to ensure transparency in local body elections.

He said that limitations in the constituencies should not be done. He said that it is the core responsibility of ECP and Punjab govt. to hold transparent Local body elections.  Ejaz Ch said that ballad papers printed from private press would not be acceptable only ballad papers printed from govt. approved printing press should be use. He said that approved standard ink should be used in the elections.

Ejaz ch said that instead of DCO and Commissioners, Judicial officers should be responsible for conducting local govt. elections. He also said that SC should respect NA passed resolutions on LB elections. Candidates are facing difficulty in getting Nomination papers and Union council maps. He also mentioned that Punjab govt. is busy pre-poll rigging and ECP is silent over it.

Ejaz ch said that PTI Punjab would fully take part at all levels in the upcoming LB elections from all over Punjab and will fight with strong candidates.
