All routes of majalis and processions are being monitored

Lahore: Punjab Minister for Cooperatives Malik Iqbal Channar, while addressing a meeting in connection with Muharram ul Haram, has said that district administrations have been directed to strictly implement the plan evolved for Muharram-ul-Harram.

The Minister said that all routes of majalis and processions are being monitored by the administration constantly while people have also been issued necessary instructions to immediately inform police regarding suspected person or luggage. Malik Iqbal Channar warned that in case of negligence, strict action will be taken against the concerned department. He said that strict action is being taken against the elements involved in spreading sectarianism.

The Minister said that towns’ administration have made special arrangements regarding provision of first aid, water and security. He said that lady police and woman volunteers of Civil Defence are performing their duties of checking women. Malik Iqbal Channar said that bomb disposal squads have also been made alert to cope with any untoward incident.
