TMOs to launch FIR against junkyards violaters

Lahore: Punjab Minister for Environment Protection Col. (Retd.) Shuja Khanzada has directed Town Municipal officers (TMOs) to launch FIR against those junkyards and tyre shops owners who violate dengue related guidelines.

The Minister said this at a meeting at the Environment Protection Department which was attended by Environment Secretary Punjab Anwar Rasheed and EPD Director General Farooq Hameed Sheikh.

The Minister gave directions to TMOs to complete their record regarding junkyards and tyre shops. He said that TMOs must ensure the licensing of junkyards and tyre shops in the city as soon as possible. The Minister said that Town Municipal officers should complete the spray procedure after coordinating with Health officers of the respective towns.
