Irrigation Department observes Anti-Dengue Day

Lahore: Anti-Dengue Day was observed today enthusiastically in the offices of Irrigation Department throughout the province. A large number of officers and staff were present on the occasion who resolved that every effort would be made for the success of anti-dengue campaign of Punjab government to root out this scourge.

Secretary Irrigation Capt. (Retd.) Zahid Saeed inspected the roofs and surroundings of the buildings of Irrigation Secretariat. Additional Secretary Irrigation Syed Waseem Jaffery, Deputy Secretary (General) Sara Rasheed, Deputy Secretary (Admn.) Sheikh Mubeeb ur Rehman, Chief Engineer (Lahore Zone) Ch. Nazir Anjum, Chief Engineer (Research) Waqar Hussain Warraich, Chief Engineer (Development) Zahid Mansoor and Chief Monitoring Habib Ullah Bodla, Deputy GM (Operations) PIDA Mian Abdul Rasheed, Deputy GM (Training) Syed Shaiq Hussain Abidi and Deputy GM (Finance) Najam us Saqib accompanied him.

After inspection of offices, Secretary Irrigation led an awareness walk against dengue walk held from the office of Secretary Irrigation to Istanbul Chowk, Mall Road. Pamphlets were also distributed among the citizens on this occasion. Later, anti-dengue arrangements were also reviewed in the residential colonies of Irrigation Department.
