Punjab will launch its Adolescent Strategy on Friday

Lahore: The Government of the Punjab Department of Youth Affairs ,Sports,Archaeology and Tourism, in collaboration with UNICEF,has developed a comprehensive Adolescent Strategy under the umbrella of Punjab Youth Policy 2012.

The Launching Ceremony of the Punjab Adolescent Strategy and Strategic Plan 2013-17 will be held at Avari Hotel Lahore (Dinshaw Mahal) on Friday ,July 12,2013 at 6 PM.The Minister of Youth Affairs Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan will be the Chief Guest on this occasion while Secretary Youth Affairs Mohammed Saqib Aziz will address to the Launching Ceremony’s participants.

The purpose of launching this strategy was to highlight the issues and challenges faced by the adolescent (aged 9-19 years) as they make up 26 percent of the total population.This strategy of development of an adolescent will ensure the specific group’s rights are fully observed and fulfilled well.
