Police claim a better performance in June

Lahore police showed excellent results during the Month of June 2013, by arresting 111 accused of 42 gangs here in, Lahore and 70 cases have also been traced against them while more than 8.62 millions recovered from the gangs members and in others cases, 1355  POs & CAs also arrested in the same period.

According to details, DIG Operations Muhammad Tahir Rai directed Lahore police, to utilize their full energies to curb the crime in the city and to arrest the criminals involved in different unlawful activities. On this direction all divisional police increased their efforts against criminals and showed excellent results during the month of June 2013 by arresting 111 criminals of 42 gangs who were involved in different heinous crimes, 573 POs, 782 CAs included A&B categories were also arrested. During the June 315 cases registered against 315 accused on having illicit weapon and police also recovered 3-Kalashankoves, 13-rifles, 23 guns, one carbine, 262 revolvers & pistol’s, 8 daggers and 1683 bullets from their possession. During the action against drug sellers, 399 cases were registered and 415 culprits were arrested and 10kg 665grm heroine, 112kg 449grm chars, 800grm opium and 4866 bottles of liquor recovered from the criminals. Moreover, 126 cases were registered against gamblers and 550 criminals arrested and also recovered batting amount more than1.4 million. In the same period during the special crackdown 262 cases were registered against 403 culprits on the violation law.
