Easy loans are being provided to the farmers:Iqbal Channer

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Cooperatives, Mlaik Muhammad Iqbal Channar has said that the process of providing loans to small farmers for Kharif crop, under one window operation, is continuing throughout the province and in this connection necessary instructions have been issued to 159 PCBL branches for disbursement of two billion fifty crore rupees for completion of this target.

These loans would be disbursed by June 30, 2013. He said that on the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister, the banks and members of cooperative societies are striving to provide all out facilities to small farmers. He said that a target of disbursing loans of Rs.2.5 billion has been set for Kharif crop during the current financial year. The Minister said that the process of making specific PCBL branches as role model has been started under which modern banking facilities would be available to the consumers. He said that the process of awarding cash prizes to the officers and officials of PCBL has been started for their encouragement. He said that surprise visits would be conducted to all PCBL regional branches throughout the province.
