LHC notice murder of a minor

Lahore High Court on Thursday took notice of the news published in a section of press that a student of 9^th class was done to death after unnatural act in Factory Area. District & Sessions Judge, Lahore has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.

According to details, Kashif Mehmood son of Feroz Din, resident of Yasin Town Ghazi Road went out on an evening in connection with some work and did not turn up. His family got worried and started search. When he was not found, his elder brother Shafaqat lodged a complaint with factory area police. But the very next day, some people saw a hanged body in a nearby plaza and informed police. Police informed the family of Kashif who identified their son’s body.

According to news reports, police said that some unidentified accused kidnapped Kashif and after alleged Sodomising killed the victim and threw his body in plaza for fear of being caught. However, the facts will surface after investigation.

LHC Complaint Cell took serious notice of the news and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report within a week positively.
