Complaint boxes to be installed in all prisons: Abdul Waheed Arain

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Prisons, Ch. Abdul Waheed Arain has directed to install complaint boxes in all prisons and only DIGs will be authorized to open these boxes. Provincial Minister said that the telephone numbers of Provincial Minister, IG and DIGs should be displayed outside jails so that people could inform them about their complaints.

Provincial Minister said that DIGs and Superintendents would be directly responsible of drugs and other evils in prisons. He warned that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.

Provincial Minister said that jails would be made reform houses and prisoners would be given technical training and professional courses. He said that ulema will also deliver lectures in jails for reformation of prisoners.
