Shahbaz Sharif congratulates PM for presenting people-friendly budget

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on presenting an excellent and people-friendly budget. He said that PML-N government has presented a best budget in the difficult situation and no best budget than it can be presented in the present circumstances.

The Chief Minister said that no burden was put on the poor and down trodden segments of the society in the federal budget but elites and rich people will have to bear additional burden. He expressed the hope that the federal budget 2013-14 will become the source of development and prosperity of the people and the country.

Shahbaz Sharif said that allocation of 225 billion rupees in the budget will help eliminate energy crisis. He said that the decision of eliminating circular debt within 60 days reflects our commitment to eliminate energy crisis. The Chief Minister said that 45 percent reduction in the expenses of Prime Minister’s office and elimination of discretionary funds of the Ministers is a welcoming step. He said that launching of Aashiyana Housing and laptop schemes in other provinces on the pattern of Punjab will benefit the people.
