CM travels by metro bus

CM PUNJAB-3 (1)Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif accompanied by provincial cabinet traveled by metro bus from Ittefaq Bus Station to Civil Secretariat for participating in the first meeting of Punjab Cabinet today.

Provincial Ministers, Special Assistants, Advisor, Chief Secretary, Acting Inspector General Police and other officers were on board in the bus with the general passengers. The passengers expressed their pleasant surprise by seeing the Chief Minister among them and shook hands with him. The Chief Minister along with cabinet members came down at Civil Secretariat Station and went to Civil Secretariat on foot where he presided over a cabinet meeting.

Talking to the Chief Minister, the passengers said that metro is an excellent bus service due to which safe and honourable travelling facilities have become available to the citizens.

The passengers while paying rich tributes to Shahbaz Sharif for launching metro bus service prayed for his health and long life so that he could continue to serve them like before. They said that metro bus service has saved the time and money of the people and provided substantial relief to them.  They also put-forth proposals for further improving metro bus service.

Talking to the passengers, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that metro bus service is an excellent gift of PML-N for the people. He said that metro bus service has rid the citizens of traffic jam and the inconvenience for waiting buses for hours. He said that about 1.5 lakh passengers are travelling daily by metro buses.

The Chief Minister said that due to rush, more buses are being imported which will arrive soon. On a complaint of poor cleanliness condition at bus stations and in the buses, the Chief Minister directed the administration to further improve the cleanliness system and the water coolers installed at bus stations should be in working condition. He directed that the non-functional water coolers should be made operational today and there should be no such complaint in future.

Regarding loadshedding, Shahbaz Sharif said that electricity crisis is very serious and we are working on war footing for overcoming shortage of electricity and the energy projects will soon be completed.
