LHC seeks report in girls kidnapping case

The Lahore High Court has directed District and Sessions Judge, Multan to issue directions to police for submission of challan of the case regarding recovery of two minor girls and also submit the latest report within three days to LHC.

As per details, Muhammad Siddique Khan, father of abducted girls, Rimsha, 7, and Humera, 8, had addressed an application to Hon’ble Chief Justice of Lahore High Court. A case was got registered at PS Shujabad District Multan but the Police failed to find any clue to the missing sisters despite lapse of more than a year.

D&SJ submitted his findings that he summoned the complainant as well SHO Police Station City Shujabad District Multan. A team headed by SSP Operation Multan had been formed for investigation. Now D&SJ had directed the senior police officer to look after the matter personally and issue necessary instructions to the Investigation Officer for recovery of abducted girls because neither any officer except SDPO/DSP touched the file of this case nor made any serious effort for the recovery of abducted girls.

After perusal of the above said report, LHC Complaint Cell directed D&SJ Multan that if the challan in the case has not been submitted then issue directions to all concerned for prompt submission of police report and also update the LHC with latest report within the three days.
