LHC notice gang rape of a girl in Lahore

Lahore High Court on Tuesday took notice of the news published in a section of press regarding kidnapping and gang-rape of a girl, 25, in Gujjarpura. District & Sessions Judge, Lahore has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.

According to details, police registered a case on the complaint of Munir Ahmad resident of Gujjarpura, stating therein that his 25-years-old daughter went to market for shopping when Khurrarm and their accomplices kidnapped her. They took the victim to unknown place and allegedly gang-raped her.

LHC Complaint Cell took serious notice of the news and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report within a week positively.
