Govt.is taking every step for the recovery of Syed Ali Haider Gillani:Sethi

CM PUNJAB-1 (5)Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Najam Sethi has said that the provincial government is taking every possible step for the recovery of Syed Ali Haider Gillani, kidnapped son of former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani. He said that all concerned agencies are making strenuous efforts and utilizing all available resources, and the masses would soon hear good news in this regard.

He expressed these views while talking to journalists after meeting with former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani at Gillani House Multan and expressing sympathies with him on the kidnapping of his son. Home Minister Tariq Pervaiz also accompanied the Chief Minister.

Najam Sethi disclosed that according to the information Syed Ali Haider Gillani is safe and soon great progress with regard to his recovery is expected. He said that if media and the people have any information about the kidnapping of Ali Haider Gillani, it should be provided to the Punjab government and the name of the person providing information would be kept completely secret and would also be rewarded.

Replying to the questions of journalists, the Chief Minister said that the allegations of rigging in general elections at a large scale are not correct and he has also talked to Imran Khan in this regard who had expressed his reservations only about two constituencies, upon which, Election Commission is investigating. He said that if any candidate or the citizen has solid proof or video about rigging, it should be provided to the provincial government and after investigation, strict action would be taken.

Replying to another question, the Chief Minister told that Governor Punjab Ahmad Mehmood resigned on moral grounds. He said that the President of Pakistan or the next government will nominate Governor Punjab of their choice. Najam Sethi said that electronic receipt system has been introduced in government hospitals for discouraging extortionists which is yielding positive results.

Earlier, Chief Minister Najam Sethi called on former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani and assured all possible steps for the recovery of Ali Haider Gillani on behalf of Punjab government. Former Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction over the investigation by the provincial government and security agencies.
