Jamaat e Islami demands fresh elections in Karachi and Hyderabad

Liaqat baloch 2Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has impressed upon the democratic forces in the country to join hands for fresh elections in Karachi and Hyderabad to frustrate MQM’s satanic game.

In a statement here on Monday, he said that MQM chief Altaf Husain was trying to mislead the nation and to please his foreign masters by claiming false mandate.

The issue in Karachi and Hyderabad is not the MQM mandate but rigging on gun point because MQM were used to false and forged mandate and fair and free elections did not suit them.He said the record vote for the MQM was a joke and a fraud, adding that the satanic game of separation could not be allowed to succeed.“ If Altaf Husain believes in democracy, why is he afraid of correction of electoral lists, fresh delimitations of the constituencies and fair and free and transparent elections”, he asked.

Liaqat Baloch stressed that the public mandate in the centre and in the provinces should be respected and there should be no attempt to disturb that through traditional palace intrigues as would provide a ground for disappointment, anarchy and revolt.”
He said that in the Khyber P, the JI would decide to play its decisive role on principles.
