Thousands of PTI workers gathered outside the Shaukat Khannum Memorial Hospital after the incident.
CM Punjab Najam Sethi,Shahid Khan Afridi and other VVIPs also reached the hospital after hearing the news about the mishap.

In a statement, Moonis Elahi has prayed for early recovery of Imran Khan and expressed the hope that he will be back in action in the election field soon as entire nation’s prayers are with him.
Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain and senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi have expressed deep sorrow and grief over Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan being injured in an incident and prayed to Almighty Allah for his early recovery and return to election at the earliest.
In a statement here this evening, the PML leaders said that prayers of all are with Imran Khan, causes of this regrettable incident will be known later, however none should do politics over it, expression of sympathy by all parties over this incident is good thing, this is also the duty of all. They said like the leaders and workers of PTI, leaders and workers of other parties are also missing him.
