LHC takes notice of accid attack on a girl

Lahore High Court, Lahore, on Friday took notice of the news published in a section of press that a girl suffered burns in an acid attack. District & Sessions Judge, Lahore has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.

According to details, 16-years-old girl Rida along with her fellow was going her aunt’s home in Cavalry Ground. Meanwhile, two persons on motorcycle approached them and threw acid on Rida. The victim had been shifted to Services Hospital. According to press report, Police would start investigation in the light of witnesses’ account. This is the second acid attack incident within a week. Earlier Naziran Bibi was attacked at the Miani Sahib graveyard allegedly by a resident of Yakki Gate.

LHC Complaint Cell took serious notice of the news and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report within a week positively.
