Judicial Commission recommends confirmation to three LHC judges

Lahore: Judicial Commission headed by Chief Justice Pakistan Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry recommended confirmation to three LHC judges and extension to one judge.

The honorable judges recommended for confirmation inclued Justice Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Justice Syed Muhammad Kazim Raza Shamsi and Justice Malik Shehzad Ahmad Khan. The Commission recommended extension to Justice Ch. Muhammad Younas for six months as he is attaining the age of superannuation on 15th September 2013.

The meeting was also attended by four senior judges of Supreme Court, Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani, Justice Nasir ul Mulk, Justice Jawwad.S. Khawaja, Justice Anwer Zaheer Jamali, Chief Justice Lahore High Court Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Nasir Saeed Sheikh, Federal Law Minister, Attorney General Pakistan as well as representative of Punjab Bar Council Yasin Azad.
