Omar Bandial takes oath from newly appointed Additional Judges

Lahore: Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Lahore, Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial administered oath to the newly appointed Additional Judges.

A simple but impressive ceremony was held in the judges lounge of LHC today. Registrar Sardar Ahmad Naeem conducted the proceedings. Hon’ble Judges working at Principal Seat, Federal & Provincial Law Officers, President LHCBA, Senior Lawyers, Officers of LHC and families & friends of newly appointed judges also graced the occasion.

Six newly appointed judges include Mr. Justice Shoaib Saeed, Mr. Justice Atir Mehmood, Mr. Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan, Miss Justice Alia Neelam, Mr. Justice Shehzada Mazhar and Mr. Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh. After the induction of these judges, the number of sitting judges in LHC has risen to forty one. The Hon’ble Judges also heard cases after the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Hon’ble Chief Justice has posted the staff in the Courts of newly appointed judges.

Zaman Sabir, Private Secretary, Ghulam Mustafa Bhatti, Personal Assistant, Arif Ikram, Court Associate, Din Muhammad, Qasid and Yasir Gulzar, Naib Qasid, will perform duties in the court of Mr. Justice Shoaib Saeed. While Wasif Ashraf, P.S., Muhammad Akram Butt, P.A., Mati Ullan, Court Associate, Muhammad Ashraf, Qasid and Muhammad Nawaz, Naib Qasid are posted in court of Mr. Justice Atir Mehmood. Whereas Muhammad Ayyub, P.S., Hafiz Muhammad Asif, P.A., Mirza Ijaz Baig, Court Associate, Basharat Ali, Qasid, & Siraj Khan, Naib Qasid will work in the court of Mr. Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan. Iftikhar Ahmad, P.S., Rana Muhammad Yousaf, P.A., Amir Shujah, Court Associate, Zafar Iqbal, Qasid & Muhammad Javaid, N/Q, are transferred to the court of Miss. Justice Aalia Neelum. Similarly Maqsood Ahmad, P.S., Muhammad Sharif, P.A., Tassadaq Razzaq, Court Associate, Manzoor Ahmad, Qasid & Muhammad Yasin, N/Q, will work in the court of Mr. Justice Shehzada Mazhar and Azhar Raza, P.S., Muhammad Asif, P.A., Nasir Ali, Court Associate, Naseer Ahmad, Qasid and Waqar Mehmood, Naib Qasid, will perform their duties in the court of Mr. Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh.

Meanwhile, Hon’ble Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Judges placed the services of Mirza Jawad Abid Baig, District & Sessions Judge in the public interest, with immediate effect, at the disposal of Punjab Government for his posting as President Officer, District Consumer Court, D.G.Khan, till the date of his superannuation i.e. 05.04.2016 or until further orders whichever is earlier, against an existing vacancy.

Hon’ble Chief Justice has promoted Mr. Johnson Bernard, Private Secretary as Deputy Registrar (BS-19), against a newly created post, in the public interest, with immediate effect. However, according to a notification issued by Registrar, Sardar Ahmad Naeem, the officer shall continue working as Private Secretary with Mr. Justice Farrukh Irfan Khan, till further orders.
