NHMP hosts farewell party for Rai Altaf

Lahore: National Highways & Motorway Police N-5 Central hosted a farewell party in honour of outgoing Additional IGP Rai Altaf Hussain who has been posted in Punjab after getting promotion. The DIG N-5 central Dr. Muhammed Shafiq, SSP Mirza Faran Baig , SSP Ghulam Jaffer , SSP Ather Waheed , GM NHA Naveed Wahla, and NH&MP officials were also present on the occasion.

The DIG Dr. Muhammed Shafiq while speaking on the occasion, paid glowing tributes to the outgoing Additional IGP Rai Altaf Hussain and said that the service rendered by him would be long remembered by the NH&MP. He said the way former Add IG guided, motivated and encouraged the police officials were highly praise worthy.

DIG Dr. Muhammed Shafiq further said Rai Altaf Hussain bridged the gap between public and police and launched various welfare projects for the uplift of National Highways and Motorway Police as well promote sports culture especially Touch Ball. He said important projects initiated by him that included surprise checking, rescue techniques, crime preventive strategies, effective working of help line with the computer service, upgrading the effective patrolling techniques and liaison with transporters. The SSP Mirza Faran Baig also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the services of outgoing Additional IGP Rai Altaf Hussain.

During his farewell address Add IG Rai ALtaf Hussain said that the period he spent in motorway police was the best period of his service and he was proud of it. He asked the officers to work hard with full devotion in order to maintain the standards of NH&MP and provide every possible help to the people in distress. In the end Add IG was presented souvenirs by all the SSPs of three sectors of Central Zone and staff of DIG office.
