Court staff would be confirmed:Lahore High Court

Lahore:A meeting of Board of Management of Punjab Judicial Academy held here under the Chairmanship of Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Lahore, Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial deliberated on enhancing the performance and welfare of its employees.

The meeting resolved that all the sanctioned strength of staff be confirmed so that they could discharge their obligations in a better way. A committee has been constituted to bring pay structure of the employees on a par with the members of Lahore High Court establishment. It will submit a feasibility report for increase in perks and privileges for consideration in the next meeting of the Board of Management. The committee includes Mr. Khalid Mehmood, Additional Special Secretary Finance Department, Govt. of the Punjab, Mr. Rab Nawaz, Additional Registrar Finance LHC, Rana Arif Ali, Deputy Director & Abdul Rehman, Assistant Director PJA.

The Committee also decided that incumbent Director General of PJA shall continue working till March 31 instant and from April 01 Mr. Justice (R) Jamshed Ali Shah will head the academy. Meanwhile Mr. Justice (R) Tanvir Ahmad Khan has been appointed as member of visiting faculty of PJA.

Eight of the eleven members of the BOM attended the meeting which include Mr. Nazir Ahmad Gajana, D&SJ Lahore, Mr. Abu-ul-Hassan Najmi, Secretary Law, Govt. of the Punjab, Mr. Khalid Mehmood, Additional Secretary Finance, Mr. Hamid Yaqoob Sheikh, Special Secretary Finance, Mr. Qazi Jawad, Additional Secretary S&GAD and Mr. Arif Anwar Baloch, Secretary P&D.
