KEMU organized a symposium on world TB day

Lahore: on the occasion of world TB day , south medical ward headed by Prof Dr Irshad hussain qyereshi organized a symposium in King Edward Medical University auditorium to commemorate the World TB day in a bid to raise awareness amongst the public, doctors ,nurses and paramedics .

Prof Dr Saqib saeed the head of the department of chest medicine delivered the state of the art lecture on drug resistent TB . dr sajid obaidullah, dr fareed ahmed khan, dr bilqees shabbir, dr athar javed and a large number of senior and young doctors attended the gathering while foreign delegates from nepal headed by dr saboth sharma attended the gathering . different aspects of TB presentation ,managment and treatment regimens were discussed . new modalities to diagnose MDR like gene expression were introduced .

At the end of the day a walk was arranged from auditorium to physiology department KEMU to symbolize medical profession commitment to eradicate TB from our country .
