Lahore High Court took serious notice of allege rape a schoolgirl

Lahore: A schoolgirl was allegedly raped by five men in Chiniot. According to media report Riaz and Kaneez, parents of the 7th class student lodged a protest as police were siding with the accused who were asking them to withdraw the rape case or face the consequences. Family had appealed for justice and protection.

Lahore High Court took serious notice and District & Sessions judge, Chiniot was directed to look into the matter and submit detailed report.

In initial report D & S Judge submitted that case has been registered. Accused Zafar Abbas has been arrested and the DSP City Chiniot has assured that the police will leave no stone unturned for arrest of the remaining accused.

Police has been directed to show full dispatch for the arrest of the remaining accused. As per finding of Falak Sher IO, the doctor after medical examination of the victim has reported that “she is used for sexual intercourse”. Other accused Nawaz alias Maju and Aurangzeb alias Rangu are being searched through secret teams.

After going through the report LHC has directed D&SJ to also invoke his jurisdiction u/s 22-A &2-B Cr.P.C. and issue directions in the referred episode as follows:-

i.An appropriate direction be issued to the DPO and the IO for fair investigation on true lines:

ii.The IO be directed to secure complete evidence during the investigation;

iii.The DPO and the IO also be directed to secure all documentary evidence /reports from concerned experts and annex with police report s/u 173 Cr/P.C.;

iv.The local police be directed to file report u/s173 Cr.P.C within the stipulated period in order to do the complete justice;

v.The D&SJ being ex-officio Justice of Peace should issue any other direction to police authorities as he may deem fit, remaining within the ambit of law, on the subject.
