Please do not politicize Badami Bagh incident,Abid Sher Ali requests to DPM

Lahore: Member National Assembly Abid Sher Ali has said that Pervez Elahi should refrain from politicizing Badami Bagh incident. He said that Badami Bagh incident is a tragic one for the entire nation and Punjab government is fully aware of its responsibilities in this regard. He said that the losses of affectees would be compensated by constructing damaged house in shortest time.

Commenting upon the statement of Pervez Elahi, Abid Sher Ali said that politicizing religious issues by Pervez Elahi reflects his prejudiced approached. He said that Punjab government has started rehabilitation of affectees by utilizing all resources. Abid Sher Ali said that it does not behove Pervez Elahi to talk about the rights of poor who set records of loot and plunder. He said that those who committed dacoity of billions of rupees in NICL and Punjab Bank have always usurped the rights of poor.

Abid Sher Ali said that Punjab government is with Christian community and the accused involved in this incident will be awarded deterrent punishment. He said that the process of construction of houses of affectees and arrest of the accused is continuing rapidly. He said that people still remembered the era of loot and plundering Pervez Elahi.
