Lahore: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab,has said that Badami Bagh incident is highly deplorable and there is a need to promote religious harmony to check such incidents in future. He said that those trying to make political capital out of the tragedy are not sincere to the nation. He said that Punjab government will compensate the losses of the affectees and all out resources will be utilized for this purpose.
In a statement, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri said that justice will be ensured to the victims of the Badami Bagh incident and all their losses will be made up. He said that Punjab government has started rehabilitation work in the affected area and on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab, provincial ministers, assembly members and administrative officers are supervising rehabilitation work.
Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri further stated that 131 accused involved in the Badami Bagh incident have been arrested and their challans will be sent to anti-terrorist court. He said that no leniency will be shown to the miscreants and Punjab government has also sent a letter to Registrar Lahore High Court for conducting judicial inquiry into the incident.
