Afiya Siddiqui should be repatriated to Pakistan :Ch Shujaat Hussain

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain has said that Muslim Ummah’s asset and daughter of the nation Dr Afiya Siddiqui should be repatriated to Pakistan at the earliest while Dr Fauzia Siddiqui has said that her entire family is grateful to Ch Shujat Hussain for making efforts for release of her sister Dr Afiya Siddiqui imprisoned in the USA and now supporting her repatriation to Pakistan and putting his hand on our head.

Both of them said this while talking to the media outside the Senate here today. On this occasion, they were accompanied by PML Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Central Information Secretary Senator Kamil Ali Agha and Rasikh Elahi.

Ch Shujat Hussain said that Dr Afiya Siddiui is courageous daughter of Pakistan, entire nation salutes her for facing the difficulties and problems with courage and bravery. He emphatically pressed on President Asif Ali Zardari and the US leadership that as a Pakistani national, Dr Afiya Siddiqui should be transferred here to undergo rest of her jail term in Pakistan. He said that we will make all out efforts in this regard and not rest till Dr Afiya Siddiqui is repatriated to Pakistan.
